The profession of private investigation has received more and more respect in both law circle and the majority of public.

No matter which type the investigation belongs to,it’s successful proceeding must depend on the gathering of enough information. And the information mainly contains factual information,which is the main purpose of any investigation.Without factual information no case would be solved, no stolen property replevied, and no missing person got back.Factual information in a concise written report is the product that we sell to our client.

Investigator’s effectiveness will depend largely on his ability to obtain information from the all kinds of sources.At last,many people will turn to the private investigator for help.And today’s investigator must learn to think of himself as a tape recorder with the magnetic tape rotating,or even a highly sophisticated camera with the lens always open, recording and observing everything. No matter what happened, the investigator wants answers to the questions who, what, when, where, how, and why.

Three methods that investigators use to obtain information are:Researching public records; Interviewing individuals with relevant information; Surveillance of individuals to learn about their behavior.

Investigators must use one, two, or all three of these methods in order to obtain the information needed by the client. To excel as an investigator, one must know how to do all three very well.

The growing population,frequent economic activity, and domestic and global trade activities cause the more and more demand for investigators. According to statistics, employment of private detectives is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2007.

These forces are expected increase in criminal cases, civil litigation, and the need for all kinds of confidential information. As crime continues to increase, more and more private detectives will be hired by certain companies.

In addition,investigators will be needed to meet the demand of information associated with criminal defense and litigation for enterprise and individuals. Greater financial activity will also increase the demand for investigators. As competition becomes more fierce, growing numbers of companies will hire investigators to control internal and external financial losses, and prevent industrial espionage.
